Visiting Diaporos Is. in Halkadiki, sunny and warm, beach BBQ last night,
lots of time doin jobs around boat &

Having a day off in Platamonas
today, been for a swim and a walk, out for a bite to eat this evening
with Michael and Briget before the next group arrive tomorrow. Making the most of the
quiet and the space on the boat to do lots of jobs yesterday and relax
today. |

the Sporadies and making our way up to Halkidiki, motor sailed most of the way. We are
now back in Diaporos

off- restocking, changing generator oil, cleaning, lots of check to do,
refill… the list goes on and on…. Very warm and no wind today! Next

2 well underway- Strong winds from East took a long time to get to the Sporadies, but weather is nice again now. |

Spent the afternoon at anchor off Alonisos island. most
of guests swam to beach for ice cream, in the evening went to Skopelos town but really hectic, this weekend is
the main holiday weekend!! |

Further out in the islands today, not much wind for sailing though. Got anchor stuck under rock in 20m of water!! eventually got away and re anchored near a ship wreck. Barbeque on shore with sunset and stars! |

Aiming to get half way back to Platamonas today but the only place to stop was
full of other boats.. continued
into night arriving at 3am, problems with engine / fuel and rudder make
everyone who is not sleeping nervous. |

Aug day in platamonas
with guests, time to visit the castle together, great views from top!!
Out for a traditional greek meal in the eveing to celebrate Kornelius'
29th birthday!! Happy Birthday!! p.s. two
local Greeks fell into the harbour near the boat last night both drunk,
jamie helped pull the first one out
and then had to go in after the second just five minutes later...
unfortunately the mobile was in his pocket at the time!! Greorge is now safe and dry if feeling a bit
silly, and the only problem was that jamies
slip off shoes slipped off!! (thanks

18th Aug - resting today, need a
hair cut! Carries parents come out tomorrow with the next group for sailaway 3! Non stop!.
Not been able to find problem with engine or rudder despite trying
every concievable area? hope it is ok... |

pm spent in Porto Koufos in Halkidiki, heading north again under engine

Sailed back yesterday to Platamonas
from Porto Koufo, pancake flat sea and
very little wind, however we had a bit of a sail as we got in range of
the winds around mt Olympus.
Anchored just off beach for Michael and Brigitte’s last swim from the
boat before they leave in a few days. Said farwell
to the guest inc. Carrie’s parents this the morning. Spent the rest of
the morning and avo cleaning and tidying
beds and rooms… |

Bay, noe tied to tree. Sailed off anchoragr this am, great fun, if a
little slow! 12 girls and 4 boys on board. |

Panaia underneath the stars. Some wind today but all in the wrong
direction! Battery charger playing up too.. |

Making
good progess back to Platamonas from Sporades. Very hot and littel wind
so motoris on. Exhaust pipe has developed a crack so have to get welded
tomorrow... Persistent problems with Battery charger and elecrical
system in general.. May be some wiring problems to resolve? Going to be
a hectic turn around as Theo and our volunteer Anna will both be back
working at the Bible Camp which starts tomorrow! |

Sailaway
4 almost under way. Just have to wait for Chris and Ricks bags from the
airport, via Barcelona!We will motor all night to Sporades as for now
there is no wind at all but the moon is out! Think all technical
problems are now fixed for the time being! |

for 2nd night after stormy weather! Exciting sailing yesterday, hit
9knots Weather loks more like Scotland at the moment. Exhaustion

last few days in outer Sporade Islands, been great weather with gentle
sailing winds and warm sunshine. Cave snorkeling and cliff jumping

Good
anchorage last nightwas importanr as had a big lightening storm all
night! Continuous all night. We did not drag anchor but we did drag the
1m Diametre boulder that the sturn line was tied around! Took a while
to get the line back this am. Storm is now passed but we have a grey
day and a lumpy sea to motor throuh to get to Platamonas tonight. ETA
11pm. Then only one trip left till the end of the ..... |

Bad
weather meant we didn't get back to Platamonoas again! Did 12.2 knots
on the way to shelter in Skiathos. Guests joined ferry back to
mainland, now we're home alone! |

Currently
sat at anchor in the bay off Skiathos town, we have a lot to do in one
day to turn the boat around for the next trip, A diesel leak when
heeling over has mean the bildges and all the food cupboards have had
to be cleared and cleaned along with having to buy food and transport
it to the anchored boat, do the usual weekly checks, fix a toilet pump
and get our laundry done! All in a day off! we're officailly more worn
out than we thought possible! Next group starts tomorrow but we potentially have an 8 hr journey to get some welding done before they get on board- not sure if it's all possible... Exhausted but really enjoyed sailaway 4, it had the full mix of weather and activities, thanks to all the guests for their imput and help, we hope you got as much from this trip as we did. |

Spent
the last night in a sleepy little port called Steni Valo. Tried to get
water but pressure was so low only half full after 4 hours. Today some
of the guests will go scuba diving, Jamie will unblock a toilet,
4th one in 3 weeks, & Carrie is cooking greek bean salad for the
first time! |

Last
day of trip tomorrow! Had a good sail today and mosquito plagued BBQ
this evening. Tomorrow will drop off guests in Skiathos in the Islands
and then the three of us and Sverker will take the boat to Platamonas,
weather permitting.. Pressure is falling though.. So tired,
nearly finished though. |

It's
the week-end! So having a break from the boat and been 2000m up on
Mount Olympus- Absolutely amazing Autumn colours and breath
taking scenery! Wish we had been more organised and had longer to climb
to the top. Hopefully another time. |

Swing Bridge opened for us in Chalkis opened for us at 3am. Now flying
south towards Lavrion and Athens at 9 Knots with a following near gale
(7) and sunshine. 50 Nm to go. Tomorrow is a Holiday! |

Arrived safely in Lavrion on sunday just before sunset, the gaff jaws broke about 2 miles from arrival so had an emergency sail drop- bit more excitement for a very good sail. Since arriving we've had several visits from maintenence men and there seems to be progress. |

Left Genevieve to start our journey back to the UK, we are now in Athens trying to locate our hotel... the taxi drivers are most unhelpful and not keen for business so we are lugging our luggage across town by hand and foot. |

sunshine and autumn colours, deep gorge and good trail! Fly home
