Epilogue

Carrie and Jamie returned to the UK in early November 2005.

We are now in the process of organising employment here, Jamie in Landscape Architecture and Carrie in Music Teaching.  For now we are living on Carrie’s Parents Canal Boat, it is called ‘Reflection’ and it is 7 foot wide and 60 foot long has central heating and a wood burning stove so it is very warm, even in winter.  We are making a few alterations to the interior of the boat so feel free to pay us a visit and stay a night on the boat with us.

Having had a while to ponder our adventures of the summer, we can look back on a very rich and mixed range of experiences and emotions. There have been amazing times, scary times, difficult challenges, many new friends, some new skills, millions of photos, sun tans (now well faded), mountains, shooting stars, dolphins, sun sets and sun rises, storms,  lightening and thunder, snorkelling, diving, cliff jumping, swimming, even some sailing.   The memories of the cold sunshine in Finland at mid summer and the hot climate and the Greek food will take a while to fade away!

God challenged us and many of the guests on board Genevieve through the daily Bible Studies, talks and discussions which has impacted us and will affect our lives wherever we end up.

It has been a great time, full of lows and highs, experiences hoped for and unexpected, we have shared them together and with so many other people, (about 141), and now we are excitedly looking forward to the next period in our lives…..

Please keep in touch with us, we like to have visitors, meeting you all this year has been a real privilege, being part of your lives for those magical days enriched our lives so much!

We are not planning on continuing to update this web site but we regularly check our e-mail so that is the best way to get hold of us.
